What’s better?

by Zoe A. Choo

I was thinking, instead of saying I shouldn’t be unhappy (which really isn’t wrong) because someone else has it worse – when argumentatively, why be happy when someone else has it better?
Instead of looking at simply what we have now at this moment in time – don’t get me wrong, counting our blessings and being grateful is so key to living a blissful life – yet more than that, it is knowing who we are, and our very purpose here on Earth. Thereafter, we’d find that the different states, stages or seasons in life serves its own purpose – it isn’t then what we deserve, the good or the bad, but as current inhabitants, what do we bring into this world that is uniquely us? How to care for this world? What’s your mission?

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth.” – it says in Matthew 5:5.

We don’t have to strive so hard to gain what could easily be lost; the world’s ours. People are not the enemy, and in fact, Man and Woman, are allies.

It’s not divide and conquer, but unite and build.
